you mistake them for your own skin.

Yet beneath every expectation,
beneath every title, every role,
every fear, every triumph and every wound,

there lives a quieter truth.

This body is not my identity. It is the canvas.
This life is not my performance. It is my pilgrimage.

And beneath every label I have ever carried,
I have always been whole.
